Blizzard Entertainment presents Overwatch, a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter.
Players assume to roles of a choice of over 20 different characters in two teams of six. These pre-defined heroes each possess unique traits and abilities based on attacks, movement and much more. There are four classes of heroes: Offense, Defense, Tank and Support. Players must work together to select a balanced team in order to fulfil their goal.
Teamwork has a heavy influence on the overall gameplay, as you work to either defend and secure checkpoints or escort a payload from one point of the map to the other before the time limit runs down.
As a reward for playing the game, loot boxes are rewarded to players as they level up, featuring cosmetic items such as character skins, victory poses and sprays. Play against the AI, or get right into the action with quick play and rank your way up to competitive modes, as you learn the ways of each hero and use their abilities to gain advantage over your opponents.
Blizzard offer free updates to Overwatch players going forward, with new maps, game modes and more to be added in the future. Overwatch is Blizzard's first new franchise since 1998, and has amassed a huge following of fans in the short time since its release.
